Discover the volunteer uniforms for the Paris 2024 Paralympic and Olympic Games

Paris 2024 held its Volunteer Convention to kick off a unique behind-the-scenes experience of the world's biggest sporting event for the 45,000 volunteers who have been selected for the Games.

The event was held at Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, a competition venue for the Paris 2024 Games. During the event, volunteers had the opportunity to spend the day getting to know more about the Games and discovering their uniform.

Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024, accompanied by the ambassadors of the volunteer programme, presented the ambition of the Games to volunteers from all over France before unveiling the uniforms.

"All day long, alongside the Paris 2024 teams, the ambassadors of the project and this large gathering of volunteers, we felt and shared the energy of the Games,” Estanguet said.

“At the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, which will host the swimming, para swimming and water polo competitions this summer, we have today kicked off a unique and unforgettable experience. We are proud to welcome the 45,000 volunteers to the Paris 2024 team!"

One team, one uniform

There will be a total of 45,000 volunteers at the Paralympic and Olympic Games this summer. Over the next few weeks, they will take part in an online training before collecting their accreditations and uniforms in May, and discover their roles and venues they will be working from July onwards.

The Paris 2024 Organising Committee called on the expertise of French sporting goods retailer, Decathlon, to create the design. It took over a year to design each piece of this unisex uniform, suitable for all roles, all weather conditions and all body shapes.

The uniform includes 15 items. The jacket and trousers can transform into a sleeveless jacket or shorts, allowing the volunteers to work in different weather conditions.

The T-shirt is a unique reinterpretation of the French sailor's striped shirt and features the logo of the Paralympic Games and the Olympic Games on each of the sleeves.
